Foster a strong love of reading and empower students in accessing knowledge and information in a safe, calm and welcoming place.
Students have access to a variety of fiction and nonfiction books at a range of reading levels. In addition, there are digital resources on the Destiny Discover site.
Student Expectations
Students are expected to be responsible for checked items and to maintain a quiet and respectful demeanor in the library.
Library Visits & Check Outs/Returns/Holds
TK-5th Grade visit the library weekly for an age appropriate read aloud and related activities.
- TK-1st Grade check out one book a week.
- 2nd -5th Grade check out two books per week.
Books need to be returned weekly in order to check out new ones the following week. Books may be renewed by bringing them to the library.
Students can put books on hold that are currently not in the library by filling out a holdslip or putting a hold in the Destiny Discover system.
